Three University of Nairobi staff have been recognized for their outstanding service in helping the country steer through the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prof. Omu Anzala (no.14), Dr. Loice Achieng’ Ombajo (no.17) and Dr. Marybeth Maritim (no.18) were among the 68 Kenyans who received the award.

The President recognized 68 Kenyans with the Presidential order of service, Uzalendo award during the 57th Madaraka Day Ceremony 2020.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Science & Technology Park, University of Nairobi (UoN) is collaborating with a team at University of Cambridge (CAM) to develop an oxygen concentrator and ventilator.
